Scott Thompson has been teaching computer animation for more than ten years. After an education in still and motion pictures, Scott took the CG plunge, got trained, and spent the next eight years animating and supervising at Mainframe Entertainment. Since returning from France, where he was working as a senior lighting artist on an all CG feature film, Scott has devoted his time to teaching the students of Think Tank. He started Think Tank to offer a unique learning experience that capitalizes on the wealth of amazing artists and studios situated in the Vancouver area.
3D modeling
Joseph Bullock is an award-winning CG artist and director. Upon finishing his 3D training five years ago he’s pretty much ate, slept and lived in the world of CG. Some of Joe’s endeavors include; working on Television shows at Mainframe, freelance modeling for comic books, feature film work abroad, full CG advertising campaigns, and of course teaching advanced modeling techniques in Vancouver.

Kaare Andrews is an award winning writer, artist and director. Andrews has written and drawn Marvel Comics' most popular characters, earning him Canada’s first award for Outstanding Comicbook Artist at the Shuster’s. His digitally painted covers include runs on the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man and most currently Wolverine. Andrews recently wrote and drew a Spider-Man mini-series and a creator-owned mini-series, and is now working on a short feature film.

Darren is currently working at Electronic Arts as a Lead Rigging specialist. His name is credited on games such as: NHL 09 (Xbox 360/PS 3), Fight Night Round 4, Facebreaker, Tennis NG, and Tennis Wii.

Sarita Baker is a professional artist/composer living and working in the Lower Mainland. With a BFA from UWindsor, and an MFA from UVic, Sarita has been a life drawing instructor in Vancouver for 15 years. As a musician and composer Sarita wrote the theme song and underscored 39 episodes of the “What About Mimi” animated series. Sarita also enjoys freelancing as a courtroom artist for CTV News and the Globe and Mail.

Nicholas Boughen is an Emmy and Gemini Nominated CG Supervisor at CIS-Vancouver. Gideon Hay Has worked in the Vancouver Film industry as a sculptor for over ten years. After graduating from Emily Carr College of Arts and Design, Gideon aggressively pursued his sculpturing career. Some of his film credits include; Scary Movie, the X-files, Deep Rising, Reboot, and many others. Gideon has also built numerous 3d maquettes for the many film and gaming studios in town, including Gulliver's Travels (Mainframe), and A Wrinkle in Time (Disney Television). He is currently working on models for Tron 2.

Martin L’Heureux is an award-winning 3D animator who is also the founder of Imperia Media Entertainment in Vancouver. Martin’s credits in film include Men in Black 2, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Small Soldiers, and most recently a 3D IMAX documentary movie entitled Dinosaurs 3D: Giants of Patagonia. He has also worked on video games such as Wolverine Origins for PSP.

Adam currently works at Electronic Arts as a Texture Artist. Adam has been working in the game industry for over 7 years. He has had experience developing titles for PC, PS3, Xbox, Wii and Nintendo DS. Some of his published titles include: Marine Sharpshooter 1 & 2, Navy Seals 2, Call to Victory, and Task Force Ranger. His latest title is Skate 2 from EA Blackbox.

Brett Vanderkist has worked in the animation industry for approximately six years. He has worked as an animator for several Flash TV series (Atomic Betty, Jacob Two-Two, Captain Flamingo, Wubzy, George of the Jungle and Edgar and Ellen), as well as the Maya animated series Zeke's Pad. Currently he is an animator at Nitrogen Studio, where he is animating Thomas the Tank Engine.

Michael is the lead rigging and animation technical director and head of the XSI scripting department at CIS-Deluxe (Rainmaker). Michael has also worked on six feature films.
2D & 3D Animation
As a 15-year industry professional, Paul has worked as Senior Animator, EFX Supervisor and Director, as well as ten years teaching animation in Vancouver and overseas. Equally comfortable in 2D and 3D, Paul's focus on principle-based methods results in a well-rounded, comprehensive approach with a constant awareness of audience experience. In the studio, Paul's enthusiasm helps him to be a motivating influence on the atrtists he works with, and he enjoys the challenge of balancing deadlines with upgrading technical and artistic skills.

Jayme Vandusen is a digital compositor and a homegrown Vancouver professional. He started his career doing motion capture animation at Mainframe Entertainment, but soon moved on to 3D FX and eventually compositing. Jayme has worked at various local visual effects studios such as Image Engine, Lux VFX, and Rainmaker entertainment. He is currently a compositor working for Frantic Films/Prime Focus.

Kolby is a character & creature artist. He has been a making characters for over 5 years, starting as a senior artist at Raven Software, and later as a freelance artist. Kolby has produced character-art for more than 20 next-gen console & PC games and worked with many of the industries top developers and publishers. In addition to his work in the games industry, he also develops characters for numerous international print and television ad-campaigns, game cinematics, feature films and collectibles.

Peter Hogan has been working in the animation industry since graduating from VFS in 2003. He has worked on several internationally acclaimed properties, including G.I.
